  • blogging

so i've decided that I just am not a blogger. I will never have profound statements to make or funny events to talk about. that being said, i only have 2 or 3 people who write blogs with xanga anyways...so I am going to end my xanga account. if you have any problems with that...tell me all about it on facebook or myspace.

  • New Year, New Resolutions...or the same old ones?

Well, the new year is upon us... I have resolved to work out more, be more conscious of my spending habits, tan more or cancel my monthly service with Tan Co., be a better friend to my friends, get better at pool, get all my music sorted, and become a Guitar Hero queen (wink haha!)!

I have worked out 2-3 times since the new year and again tonight, so doing well on that front. I got a credit card and have started using cash unless the item is over $10-20. I've gone tanning twice, not bad. I haven't really been the friend as much lately. Haven't actually talked to any of the girls outside of work since who knows when...my excuse?? i've been busy busy... I'm not really improving at pool, but I still attend my weekly butt kicking with Jason who seems to be improving nicely. I have copied almost all of my cds over to my external hard drive. now i just need to fix the id3 information (artist, title, genre, album) and sort through other peoples music that i've collected to get rid of the stuff i don't like. sounds like an easy task right?? yea try saying that 50Gigs later... and last but not least, I have vastly improved on Guitar Hero, beating GH3 on medium on xbox! I'm not really sure how i beat the devil at "the devil went down to georgia".. i've tried since and cannot do it, but neverthelesss, all it takes is one time..

anyways, hope everyone is doing well!

  • B.C. Clark

It is the day after Thanksgiving and for the ump-teenth time I have now heard the B.C. Clark ad. For those of you who live in OKC, you know exactly what I am talking about. For those of you who don't, the YouTube video is posted below along with their website with EVERY single TV commercial version made (and other's personal experiences and need to hear this song). If you click on "History" you can see how they tried to change the song and the people kept it from happening!

"It is very possible that the B. C. Clark Christmas Jingle may be the longest continuously running jingle in the entire United States, and in January of 2001, it made its national television debut when actress Megan Mullally, an Oklahoma City native, sang the Jingle on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

See for us Okies in OKC, this song simbolizes that Christmas is just around the corner. No more holidays to celebrate until then! Its always been kind of a tradition for my family that whenever its heard on the radio the first time on Thanksgiving or Christmas (and we are all together) we all sing along, knowing the words by heart! We may be nuts, but its a fun tradition that you soon realize you took advantage of when you no longer hear the commercial once every hour or two..

Jewelry is the gift to give,
cuz its the gift that will live and live!
So give the gift you know can't fail from B.C. Clark's Anniversary Sale!
    Most sales are after Christmas,
    but Clark's is just before.
Most everything is marked way down,
    savings you can't ignore.
    At Oklahoma's oldest jeweler,
    since 1892.
So give the gift you know can't fail from B.C. Clark's Anniversary sale!

  • yes, i like this bullet idea. i suck at writing coherent paragraphs sometimes.

*I'm at 450 miles. I don't think that I will make the 600 miles by Nov. 11, but overall I am very proud of myself.

*Camping was lots of fun. I had a great timing hanging with my parents and dogs and walking around Silver Dollar City.

*I went as a bee for the Halloween party and it was lots of fun! Some great costumes...everyone's imagination amazes me every time!

*Saw 4 was very gory but still great. a little confusing but i still liked it!

*I've gone to 2 Blues hockey games, and had loads of fun! Who knows, maybe I'll start following hockey more once I finally learn the rules and players and such.

*I wouldn't trade my friends for anything! They are great.

  • I'm gonna take a cue from mechinese with the bullets idea...

*I've worked out an equivalent of 371 miles since August 20th, through biking, walking, lifting, and stretching.

*Going camping until Saturday. I'll have my cell and patchy service if you need anything.

*Halloween party on Saturday. Stay tuned for pictures on myspace and possibily facebook.

*Work is busy. Deadlines starting to get within arms reach.

*Life outside of work is going really well.
